Capco Response

We are extremely disappointed to receive your feedback, in particular, the inaccurate statement that you have made about our leadership team who, including our CEO, have been with the firm for many years, are firmly committed to Capco, and work very hard to do what’s best for the firm and our people, now and for the long term. We continue to run independently from Wipro, have retained our own brand and leadership structure, and will continue to do so. As a professional services firm, Capco is focused on partnering with our clients to provide solutions to their challenges, and to help them take advantage of opportunities. We are a consultancy, and not a product development company, and so creating IP is not our business. Finally, Capco is proud of our people-first culture, and we are committed to developing and creating opportunities for our people. We have robust learning and development offerings, which include both online and live training courses, and also offer a variety of programs to support the development of our people, including Milestone schools at every level. Every consultant has a coach (separate from their line manager) and we have twice-yearly promotion cycles to facilitate people’s career progression. Similarly, we place significant focus on employee wellbeing – both mental and physical. We have a global wellbeing group and a diverse range of benefits and resources to support our people’s health and wellbeing. We are also proud of the fact that our work-life balance ratings on GD are consistently higher than similar companies in our sector.

Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
