Management was awful and would use employees as scapegoats for poor store performance. The work itself was dull but would not have mattered if work culture had been more positive. Insistence on pushing extras at the till would alienate customers, who were evidently uninterested, but you were somehow expected to sell a certain amount otherwise you would be struck off.
