Pros

I was promised decent pay, but the hours were too few.

Cons

There is an incredible amount of micro-managing. Many of the employees were unhappy and remained with the company due only to contracts. Allen seems to be self-obsessed and does not care about helping students. It is all about the money! It's absolutely ridiculous. I was asked to repeatedly to increase hourly rates on families that could not afford it. I couldn't take it anymore. This almost resembled a ponzi scheme. Much of the business was dealt under the table.

We believe this review to be false as the details outlined do not coincide with any of the positions at our company. None of the coach (tutor) positions that we offer have ever been structured in this way. This year, based on our continued success with students, we have been fortunate enough to launch Cardinal Education Scholars (CES), our non-profit division. We launched CES in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Club to provide our coaching and consulting services to middle school students from under-served schools because we believe that all students, regardless of their socioeconomic status, deserve the opportunity to be successful. Our goal is to mentor and guide these students through from now until they apply and are accepted to outstanding universities!

Pros

Good to know they have a lot of assessments almost all the subjects you've learned through your high school, but not hard.

There are a lot of assessments

Pros

Lunches were free everyday Mon-Fri.

Cons

1. The CEO uses his background from Stanford to really break into family dynamics that are difficult essentially taking advantage of the "support" of the consulting. 2. This is a family/friends run business. They will only hire you to stay in a busy cycle when they have huge amount of clients and drop you when that cycle is finished. 3. This job is dressed as a consulting job but they don't care about impact and only care about how to keep the clients longer. They will make kids fail their assessments on purpose, point out issues that are minor and make it seem like a big deal. 4. Extremely disorganized org given that it was created more than 20 years ago and yet still everything is in a google drive. 5. Another classical ego dressed as a CEO. Please stop pretending this is goldman sachs and perhaps start investing on how to create a structure for your company (long overdue).
