Cons
I was a high performer that did my best to leave positively as I am not one to burn bridges and really do believe in the vision of the organization. Seasoned workers are expected to “prove themselves” which basically means working incessantly for a long period of time to command a competitive salary and with that salary will come multiple roles you’re responsible for. You can’t ever say you lack bandwidth when you’re responsible for multiple roles because you’re deemed an uninspiring leader. KPIs can’t be properly tracked as there is no consistency to measure against. You can speak up and raise red flags of problems arising, but then you will be told you’re not 10X or you’re a trouble maker and you won’t be taken seriously unless you have a trail of trackable data behind you. Leaders are micromanaged rather than being empowered to lead. Some leaders deflect and gaslight. I enjoyed the fast pace and high performance culture, but grew tired of the lack of appreciation and uninspiring pay for my skills and expertise as I assume other seasoned talents will do in the near future unless leadership makes some changes.
