Small company, Big ambitions - Research and Development Catapult Creative Media Employee Review

Pros

Flexibility from management Opportunities to grow and explore different technologies, learn and practice new skills Solid Benefits and PTO Good team Cohesion Hourly, which means a limit to 40 hours a week unless a project needs it and you agree to it. Even on hectic weeks, you are clocking out at 5pm on Friday, earlier if you put in extra time earlier in the week.

Cons

High turnover rate, it's a small company with a good amount of interns which leads to some people leaving every year or so. With the amount of moving parts long term projects have the turnover can cause issues with a problem happening with something someone who has left the company before you set up.

Pros

I love working for Catapult--they always do right by their employees, especially during COVID. I felt like my safety was their priority and I will always be thankful for that. Top-notch talent, a lot of mutual respect, and emphasis on continued training and learning opportunities. A lot of flexibility and good benefits.

Cons

Very fast-paced, can be overwhelming when you're first starting out, but management is always there to help you.

Pros

The first few weeks are great. You learn some things here and there about WordPress and Google Analytics. And the owners are incredibly nice - sometimes giving you food and stuff. You learn how to write a little better. It's a good first internship to get your foot in the door. The other people there are really nice and funny to be around. There's some great technology there too.

Cons

Poor time management from up top results in lots of projects getting put off for months at a time. Sometimes it'll get so bad that you'll be rushed to complete something within a few hours, and then your work won't even be used. To this day I still have blogs I wrote months ago still unpublished and not read, even though I was told to complete them within a few hours. I didn't feel useful, and there didn't seem to be a plan for me.
