Pros

Great Product, Ok Salary, Extra Benefits

Cons

Its a worst place to work in. During my work at Celonis I had so much stress that it affected my health and personal life so badly that I still have nightmares about it. I am so glad that I left the company now I have good work life balance, less stress and high motivation to work. From my perspective the product is good and it will grow, it’s so successful so far. The upper management is good and they try to make it a good place that’s why they do a lot of activities for their employees and pay well but you can’t buy someone’s life with money. The major problem is on Middle management. That SUCKS. Celonis promoted less experience people so quickly - with just 2 - 3 experience people are VP, Director or head. That’s a joke, because of their less experience and incompetence they cannot deal with their subordinates and don’t give them respect. They try to micromanage everyone because they don’t have experience to judge them by reports or by experience and don’t trust them. I will only recommend Celonis to those who can bend down to less experience people and have no personal life, to a person who have no family, Girlfriend, hobbies etc because you can forget about these things while working at Celonis. They will make your life so terrible that you won’t even think about your life. Its like working at hell.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback after having left the company. The biggest criticism you raise is the issue of promotion and supervisor behavior. Therefore, I would like to pick up on this and present Celonis' point of view. As a fast growing company, we are convinced to offer all employees exciting tasks, a steep learning curve, individual career paths and development opportunities. However, the responsibility for development also lies with our employees. Our management team consists of both long-time Celonis employees and team leads with a lot of industry experience. Especially throughout the last year (2020) many experienced hires joined the company. This keeps the balance and is certainly a success factor of Celonis. Best regards, Friederike Bremen (Talent Acquisition)

Pros

Unlimited PTO and smart people, who unfortunately are leaving.

Cons

Sales and technical teams are not always set up to succeed together, which creates unnecessary pressure on technical teams and contributes to burnout. There is a strong focus on growth, but employee retention does not receive the same attention. Compensation is not always competitive, and career advancement processes can feel inconsistent depending on the opportunities available to you. All approvals run up to founder level.
