Pros
Best reason was a 2 day work at home alternative that has been taken away. When they did offer it, working from home was a great perk that unfortunately was used as leverage (threats to take it away if you don't do what they say). Everyone tried to meet their standard, but the setting was unrealistic and unattainable. Many tried to explain that it could "all" be done, but the cultural norm was too assign blame and deficiency on the front line instead of doing root cause analysis to identify a solution.
Cons
"Solutions" were identified by those up above that did not live the reality on the front line. Solutions were random, wreckless, careless and planned very very poorly. Leadership seemed not to be accountable for not knowing or having the skill to effectively assess systems and engage in strategic planning for process improvement. Instead of taking deep look to gain a true perspective, they drilled down harder and harder on each tier in the soon-to-be-obsolete hierarchal paradigm. The organizational structure has not embraced the more flat structure commonplace in millennial organizations today. As a result, a culture of fear and intimidation is deeply embedded.
