Pros

1. The people that do the work are fantastic. They care about the product and their fellow coworkers 2. The product offering and what the company means for hospitals makes it a fulfilling job. 3. There is always something to learn. 4. Depending on position, you’ll get to form great relationships with Centrak’s customers. 5. It’s a small company so there’s a great chance that you’ll be wearing many hats. This allows decent growth.

Cons

1. The current leadership team only cares about the number of releases per year. They believe that more releases means the company is doing good. However, this means that the people doing the work are never given the time to properly develop the product and ensure quality. 2. The leadership team is very reactive. They don’t allow themselves to sit and think. This makes for a never ending change in priorities and lots of confusion. 3. The CEO doesn’t have trust in the people so all major updates have to go through him. 4. None of the leadership team actually understands the product and what the customers want. 5. Very top heavy. They like to hire management but fail to hire enough employees to get the never ending list of projects out the door. 6. If you speak up to suggestion a better way of doing things or point out a problem, you become a problem. Current leadership doesn’t want to see the companies flaws and they don’t want to fix anything. 7. Long term employees with fantastic records are thrown away because of bad management. 8. Work/life balance basically doesn’t exist. People are expected to work 12+ hour shifts and be on call to respond to teams and emails. 9. If you get a bonus for your hard work then the leadership team believes that you are required to work harder harder following that to “show appreciation for the bonus”. 10. Too many meetings. I don’t know when it happened but at some point the company decided they needed a meeting for everything. 80% of the day is taken up for meetings. Which is probably why people need to work 13 hours to get anything done. 11. Leadership pretends to care about the employees but at the end of the day there is no loyalty from leadership. You’ll be thrown out without a second thought.

Pros

Some of the company managers are nice, benefits and time off were okay

Cons

Upper management is horrible and the entire company has change fatigue from constant turnover. They hired a cruel woman who came in and disrespected everyone, especially longtime employeee, and made cuts to the business that made no sense. This organization is like a field of snakes.
