Pros

The team culture at Cheeky is fantastic. Everyone is so supportive, friendly, and genuinely awesome. The team motivates each other and is always willing to help whenever needed. The company is fully remote which is a huge benefit. It is very fast paced and rapidly growing. We literally change lives every.single.day how couldn't you love that!

Cons

The downside to working at Cheeky is it is very fast paced and rapidly changing & growing so if you aren't accepting of change or like a slower paced atmosphere then this isn't the company for you.

Pros

I'm a PhD myself and used Cheeky Scientist's programs to get hired into a top R&D role and then was recruited back by CS to work with them as a trainer. I went through what amounted to 3 months of intensive training with CS on how industry works and how the recruitment and job search industry works. I made it through and was able to start helping PhDs get hired into the industry jobs they wanted. Some of the other trainees didn't make it through because it was quite rigorous. They were given the chance to do some panel trainings with us but then were put through another program to get them hired into industry careers outside of CS. As a trainer was also encouraged to lean on my experience in the R&D sector but the organization helped PhDs get into a wide variety of careers from medical writing to data science to careers in the nonprofit sector. The team is fast paced and the company has a high growth culture but one thing that was always clear to me is that they cared about the PhDs they were helping.

Cons

The company is a high growth culture and it can be hard to keep up at times. The meaning the job provides in terms of helping PhDs and seeing these PhDs change their lives and get hired makes it worth it but over the course of 3 or more years it can be hard to sustain such a high level of activity.
