Pros

a lot of the staff is amazing and committed (Ms. Pam is the GOAT); beautiful space; great training and learning opportunities (for mental health team, especially for interns)

Cons

burnout and turnover is incredibly high; benefits are horrible; the CEO and his handpicked executive team are inauthentic and opportunistic - caring more about optics and making the CEO look good before he retires rather than equity, inclusivity, and wellness amongst their hardest-working (and lowest-paid) employees; executive leadership is so absent from the day-to-day but have such high demands of their team who get paid far less but do far more; the CEO is on vacation most of the year, which a lot of employees resent

Pros

Lower level staff cares so much about the mission and making a difference for the children we work with. Our clinicians and front desk staff mean the world to our clients and cds members will do anything for the providers and centers they work with. Most employees go out of their way to help each other and put on events.

Cons

The executive leadership is entirely performative and lacks any accountability whatsoever. Staff has actively held meetings to address this behavior and are met with blame and gaslighting regarding our care for the mission. It feels like it is the top against the bottom and is overall hostile at times. There is no recourse for inappropriate behavior because HR does not follow through on complaints and even engages in unethical behavior. I wish this place was better because the mission is amazing.
