Pros

There are several positives. The free meal provided daily is a nice perk, and there are some genuinely kind and supportive colleagues. However, these small benefits don’t make up for the lack of stability, fairness, or meaningful support. Overall, it’s a frustrating environment to try to build a career in, especially for those who value clear expectations, professional growth, and a respectful workplace culture.

Cons

My experience with Christian Health was disappointing due to several structural and cultural issues. The organization suffers from a lack of focus. There are too many competing priorities and shifting goals, which creates confusion around the overall mission and day-to-day responsibilities. Compensation is below industry standards, which does not reflect the expectations placed on employees. Professional development opportunities are minimal and rigid, offering little room for growth or flexibility. Feedback from management is inconsistent. Performance is praised one moment and criticized the next, often without a clear explanation. They will say you have poor performance the second you struggle with anything or need time off, showing little empathy for personal challenges or health-related issues. The vacation policy is another example of this: proper vacation time is only available after one year of employment (you can borrow against some time), which contributes directly to burnout and a lack of work-life balance. There are also clear inconsistencies in how employees are treated. Some are allowed to miss deadlines or arrive late without consequence, while others are written up immediately for minor infractions. This kind of uneven enforcement of rules creates a toxic and demoralizing atmosphere.
