Pros

They have a lot of processes in place to get things done. This was something I was initially excited about, as I came from a place that was constantly trying to pin down what steps needed to be taken to accomplish certain tasks. But the flip side of this, is that management can be fairly rigid. And though there are conversations (constantly...which kudos) about improvements - often times the ground work for improvements/changes are eventually cut down (without being given a fair chance) and the process reverts back to what wasn't working.

Cons

My biggest problem with ChurnZero is that it’s a racist establishment. When the term systematic racism is used and you talk about its effects, this place is its result. I was one of a handful of Black people who worked there. In a company that nearly doubled in size during my time (over 150+), I could count the number of Black people on my two hands. I'm not a stranger to often being the only Black person in the room, but it was the first time that I felt my Blackness constantly resulted in uncomfortable conversations or implications about my ability as a person. And they claim that are hoping to have better diversity/fix their diversity issues but outside of lip service there were no steps taken to follow through. There were many reasons I left but the biggest one was the lack of safety I felt as a person of color - from remarks frequently made by peers about people of color to decisions made my supervisors that negatively impacted those with any differences (including accessibility). If purpose and passion is part of why you come into work everyday, then I would not recommend ChurnZero. Compassion is not at the forefront of the work this company does, their goal it to make money for themselves and their customers - which takes a certain type of mindset and personality but it not a setting for everyone. They are a successful company, but their success is at the expense of their employees. It's not people first here. And part of their employee mission is to treat each other like adults/to hirer adults, however this translates to figure it out yourself. Agency is important in any job you do, certainly but I work with other's because I want to be part of a team. Silos are common among departments but here there were many silos within singular departments. I do believe that many who work here are intelligent people, but it’s akin to the brilliant kids in high school - smart but vapid, and not really willing to play with others who do not look like them or think like them.

But this wasn't your story and if it didn’t work for you, there are likely others that share your concerns. This has my attention, and I am going to work hard on making this a great place to work for everyone, including people of color. I welcome the chance to talk to you more thoroughly on the topic. Pros

ChurnZero is a place where driven, thoughtful people come together to do meaningful work. The team is collaborative, accountable, and genuinely invested in helping customers succeed. There is a strong sense of ownership across the organization, and leadership is engaged, accessible, and focused on building something that lasts. It is an environment where you can grow, take on real responsibility, and be surrounded by people who challenge you in the best way.

Cons

There is a Washington, DC office where local employees gather 1–2 times per week, which is a great opportunity for in-person connection for those nearby. Not everyone is able to take advantage of that, and there are currently no company-wide in-person gatherings, so building relationships across the full team takes more intention.
