Pros

**Compensation & Benefits** Competitive salary and benefits package. Health coverage is solid. Pension options are available. **Career Progression & Learning** Clear progression pathways and opportunities to take on increasingly complex responsibilities. The company invests in professional development. Over six years, I've seen meaningful career advancement and skill development across multiple risk domains. **Management & Team Quality** Working with capable, experienced colleagues across the risk function. Leadership is generally supportive and receptive to ideas. Mentorship and sponsorship opportunities exist for those who seek them out. **Scale & Impact** The sheer scale of operations means you're working on meaningful, high-stakes problems with real institutional impact. Risk management infrastructure is sophisticated, and you get exposure to complex financial instruments and systemic risk considerations. **Work-Life Balance** Reasonable expectations around hours. The role demands focus during high-pressure periods, but it's not a perpetual grind. Flexibility has improved, particularly post-2020. **Risk Management Resources** Investment in tools, technology, and governance frameworks is evident. You have the infrastructure to do rigorous risk work rather than fighting legacy systems. **Recommendation** Solid employer for someone serious about risk management. Good place to build expertise and advance in your career.

Cons

Nothing I can think of.

Pros

Great benefits (PTO, healthcare, etc.) for FTEs

Cons

Everything else - Carousel of management changes - Vague and ever-changing role/job descriptions and associated metrics - The constant feeling that we're all about to be laid off but must "prove" our value in the meantime
