Pros
Struggling to think here. The Citi name on your CV is good to have in Belfast.
Cons
The biggest con here is salary and benefits. Historically Citi would have been good, but in recent times there's been a lot of new tech entrants to Belfast and it's meant that Citi have fallen far, far behind the competition. There has been a huge exodus of senior talented people in the last year because of this and because salaries are so low, there's no way to get these people back. Other negatives - Technology stack is behind other companies, I think this is the same for most teams - Work life balance is poor, you will do far more than your 8 hours a day - There's not a lot of opportunity for progression or moving roles within Citi - No regard for employees during covid (no checkins to check on their well being, no virtual events, etc) just extra work and longer hours
