Pros

I have been with Citizens for 25 years and I'm not alone in the 25 year tenure. Citizens always puts there employees and customers first, that is not just a buzz word. If something is going on that might impact their employees the bank will create a benefit to make our personal life easier, such as a 0% Bridge loan for employees who were impacted by the 100 year flood. When sons, daughters, husbands or wives were being deployed to Afghanistan the bank provide an extra 5 PTO days and paid half of expenses for family to go and see their soldiers off. We have a week of celebrating Employees, and for those of us when we hit 25 or some folks 50 years they acknowledge us by putting a brick with our name at the Providence Executive Location and celebrate us with a family member. Of course we work hard but management listens to suggestions to make work easier, they are generous with PTO time so, if you are so inclined you can work your way up the ladder with support from your management to help you do just that. I had been laid off from a company I had spent 18 years with and thought I would retire from so I was scared when the lay off happened but as I look back it brought me to Citizens so it was the best thing that could have happened to me!

Cons

I can't really think of many cons, of course there can be a manager that you don't click with but you can post out if that's the case. In 25 years I've had one that I had to get out (posted] and and continued to work my way up the career path.

Pros

The pros are the benefits, the pay could be higher for all that you learn and have to go through for ten weeks. They offer tuition assistance and opportunity for upskilling and advancing in such little time and the remote flexibility is great too

Cons

Management sucks and of course they have their favorites and then they have the people they target like myself. They micromanage bad and are quick to give you an occurrence for nothing. Their systems are so slow and then they blame you for being five ten minutes late logging in. They want you to tell them when you get up to breathe, go to the bathroom and they push for you to take calls and know boatloads of info after on 3 weeks of training. What they don’t know is that I will sue for any wrong doings or discrimination and I keep records of everything
