Pros

Relative autonomy: you're generally left alone to do your work without someone constantly looking over your shoulder. There are some genuinely nice people who work here.

Cons

Compensation is below industry average. Management specifically seeks out new grads and inexperienced employees because they will work for less. Very little regard for work/life balance. Actual job differs in several ways from how it was originally described. Changes are never discussed, and any increased responsibilities or demands are not reflected in your compensation. No clearly defined bonus structure, even refuse to pay cost-of-living increases, despite good performance reviews. They usually cite the economy as the excuse, but the company is growing by 40% a year. Management is arrogant, unresponsive, entirely top-down, and dictatorial. No input is solicited from those on the front-lines, and there is little consultation between different functions.

Pros

- Autonomy in your work - Knowledgeable, friendly people to work with - Flexible Hours - Work from home option - Excellent Networking opportunities - High demand for product so the company is growing very fast

Cons

- Promote people just to fill positions not because they are necessarily the right people for the job and there is no support or training to help these people develop into the right people for the job - No good or bad feedback on performance and therefore no raises or guidelines set on how to improve to receive raises or promotions - People are constantly being fired for not doing a good job - Departments that are not directly involved in with product like admin/finance/HR etc. are under appreciated, under utilized and under rated as an important part of the business - Decision made by upper management don't always take into account the impact on it's employees, internal systems or what the laws are. - Heavy work load which makes for long hours
