Pros
The team members are kind and do their best to support each other. Every (non manager) team member was always willing to help out, answer questions, and was friendly all around.
Cons
The management team is not growth minded. Knowledge about procedures and clients is unorganized, and often only known by one or two people. When people present opportunities for growth, those new ideas are pushed aside for ''the way we have always done things''. This leads to the ''yes people'' who agree with everything the CEO says getting praised/ promoted/ celebrated, while people who point out problems are put down in front of others. They do their best to maintain the clients that they have, but everything behind the scenes is a scramble to make it work. There are serious issues with the CEO micro-managing team members, and people's mental health pays the cost. Instead of having open and honest conversations about company culture, they substitute free team lunches and team bonding activities. The extra benefits are nice, but do not make up for you treating your team poorly. Most importantly, because there is no organization it leads to the CEO randomly assigning tasks to anyone other then tech. If you are not on tech, your job title is not respected. During the interview process, I was told that all team members help clean the kitchen, load the dishwasher, ect. In reality the techs were told NOT to help clean anything, because their time was more valuable. This left the only two women in the office to clean. If the kitchen was messy, the women were asked... "Could you help out and clean?". When this was brought up to the CEO that it was not part of the woman's job title/ description to clean the response was ''her job is whatever I say her job is''. It was made clear that only the women were asked to clean, and I never saw one male co-worker asked to clean anything.
