Pros

Very knowledgeable leadership and staff. Highly motivated junior staff. Variability in quality of leadership across leaders, but overall good. Engaging and exciting work, good clients, strong teamwork among most staff. Generous PTO.

Cons

Project staffing or resourcing leads to some working a lot of staff working nights or weekends, need more support on projects. Large number of projects per staff members. Tight working quarters. Little training for new employees, little support for ongoing employee training. Negative change in company culture. Lower than average pay as compared to other consultancies.

Thank you for your feedback. Our core training program and ongoing scientific series and trainings are meant to support development, I apologize that it was not enough. Regarding tight working quarters, we had expanded each US office multiple times. Our competitive analysis in 2019 was used to adjust employee salaries so I apologize if you did not agree. One point I disagree on, company culture. We have a very strong culture and I stand by this - the only change in 2020 was in our handling of the pandemic which was swift, flexible and attempted to keep our team working toward the same high level delivery; I am sorry that you felt this was a cultural change; we tried our best. Thankful I was able to start my career here. Great people who help each other out, have each other’s backs and are serious about quality of life.

Cons

Company with a growth mindset, salary not competitive to similar positions in the industry.

Interesting & challenging projects Knowledgeable leaders Good training/learnings in outcomes science Helpful/friendly colleagues Small company- doesn’t have the corporate-y feel of larger companies Generous PTO

Cons

Compensation 30-45% under market for COA knowledgeable and extremely hard working employees doing complex/intense projects Little to no effort to retain good people; tiny incremental raise after consistent positive reviews resulting in morale issues, ie, employees do not feel valued or as though they are compensated fairly No negotiations re salary Therefore, many good employees with extensive knowledge/training left/will leave for better paying positions Health insurance $$ with high premiums

Thank you for your feedback. As a smaller consultancy, we have conducted compensation analyses reflective of our field and feel confident that we are comparable to the market. I am very proud of our retention levels and we work very hard to retain good researchers; however, there is always room to improve.
