Pros

No cold calling, all warm leads and repeat customers filtered via Closet World Corporate office. Flexibility to accept or decline leads, ability to work interdependently via home office and travel to customers homes/businesses, working one on one with client/customers, helping customers to fulfill their desired design outcome and building a report for repeat business.

Cons

Once fully trained it is 100% commission based and you have to factor that into your mileage/travel/gas. An average customer meeting can go anywhere from 2-6 hours and you may not make a dime off all that time spent traveling, consulting, measuring, hand designing and helping the customer to receive the best deal possible. It is a lot of work and personal expense for what can lead to no compensation.

Pros

The company claims you can make your own schedule, but I did not find that to be the case. They also say you are given creative license when designing closets, but they want you to present the bare bones model (even if the customer expresses an interest in upgrades and customization) in order to not frighten them initially with a high price tag.

Cons

You are expected to have a fully open schedule (including weekends) for a part-time position. They say you are allowed to block off times when you are not available, but my requests were denied.
