Pros

-- spirited and lively company, keeps a 'small town' kinda feel even as its currently scaled to 80-85 people -- videoconferencing the norm even before pandemic to help simulate that 'face to face' contact -- no bad apples or bitter personalities -- growing fast so lots of new hires always...but offset by relacing others (see below cons section)

Cons

-- employees concerned about an exit of some great and multi-year employee talent which seems worse in 2021 so far.. as I write this in april 2021, has seemed to be between 2-3 people a month - some weeks on the internal employee newsletter there's at least a person leaving each week it seems... so about 8 to 12 already. doesn't seem like much but on a workforce of about 80 that's more than 10% and with the smaller feel it's MUCH more felt and noticeable than a large corporation. reasons many maybe? employee burnout, projects scaled maybe too large for the small team or experience of those in it... reasons can be wide-ranging... but the trend seems to be 'get out while you can'. -- be careful about burnout but that's true in any consulting organization. some of my great colleagues and friends have moved on from here.. always disappointing to see. -- if you sort glassdoor reviews by date and any 'clusters' of reviews done on the same date or within a day or two of each other suddenly (after silence of months) is a good sign the company's asked people to go onto glassdoor and write a review.. not saying they coach what to say but it's a push to do it -- difficult to get home/work life separation in any consulting firm, no different here

Cloud for Good Response

Hi there - Thank you for taking time to leave a review and share feedback. We appreciate your comments about our staff culture and how we prioritize staying connected and as "face-to-face" as possible. Our staff-wide retention rate is over 90%. Consulting typically averages around 85% retention, and we aim to keep our retention as high as possible. It's always hard to lose great talent, but we are working hard to ensure Cloud for Good is a great place to work overall and especially in Salesforce consulting -- updating compensation models, revising review processes to focus on learning and growth, introducing new benefits, staying flexible with our remote environment and staff supports, and finding ways to stay connected despite not seeing one another live and in-person in the past year. If you'd like to share any other feedback, please reach out for a confidential discussion: peoplesupport@cloud4good.com. Thanks again, Cloud for Good

Pros

this is an apprenticeship. Zero experience required but basic technology/customer service related experience is helpful. they start you at 50k, get another SF cert in the first 90 days, then they bump you to 60K. Plenty of room to grow if you are willing to get after it. People are super helpful, and the culture is so supportive. Make your career goals known to your People Advocate and good things will happen. Keep in mind, this is an apprenticeship. Either you will be hired onto the client side or stay on as a full time Consultant for CFG. If you are the latter, there is plenty of paths trailblazed by other senior consultants who started off as the analyst level.

Cons

NOT A CON, but doing the bare minimum required here will not get far. You really have to be Proactive with your own career. Just be aware of starting off as a QA role, try to plan and graduate from that role after 1-2 projects. Keep flexing and using those config skills, and volunteer to take on build work at any level as an Analyst-> otherwise you’ll never upskill and you just keep doing qa project roles. This is consulting, working beyond 40 hrs or on the weekend can be a possibility. but definitely not every weekend! Know what you are getting into as a non-experienced salesforce/tech junior!
