Pros
Almost 8 weeks holiday. Most colleagues are very good and friendly. Progression is there if you're willing to play the game. It's not really about in store performance and more about things such as raising money for charity though. Overall it's an ok play to work but nothing special.
Cons
Staff levels have been cut to unreasonable levels. It doesn't matter if you're the team manager or store manager. You'll spend the entire shift running back and forth between filling deliveries and going on the till because a lot of the time there's only you and 1 other member of staff. Deliveries are far too big and stock holding level is ridiculous. All time in store is spent working deliveries and staying on top of back stock. Head office are completely out of touch with how stores actually run and how long certain tasks take. Constantly told that we need to spend more time with customers/go on the till to reduce queues so unnecessary tasks have been removed to free up time to do this. Then the hours for those tasks are also removed so we're back where we started. Head office don't seem understand that we need hours to actually have a person in the building to do that.
