Working at Cognitev has been the best decision I’ve ever made. The office culture is amazing, people are so friendly and kind. If you want to work for a silicon valley company in Cairo, Egypt then Cognitev is the only choice you have. Cognitev always made me feel like the company was driven from the bottom-up, with the engineers and s-team members having the responsibility to drive the company forward, rather than waiting for management to tell them what to do. Cognitev has been driven by a culture of prototyping, shipping, and iterating. The result is an environment where the biggest limit on innovation is our own ability to get ideas implemented. Even though Cognitev is a technology company, we lead our decision-making with people, not code. Rather than developing technology for its own sake and then figuring out how to package it up into products that users might want, we start by imagining the most powerful ways we could improve people’s lives, and then drill into what technology we are going to need to realize that vision to make the internet a better place. I learned a lot of lessons in that first year as a leader, and made my fair share of mistakes along the way. But because of our emphasis on moving fast and being bold, my team and my manager gave me a lot of support and helped me use mistakes as learning experiences to improve my skills. During my time at Cognitev I was never gated by the company but rather my own ability to grow and adapt. That’s what I really think sets Cognitev apart from any other company I have worked at, it is an environment that really encourages people to take on big challenges and step outside of their comfort zone. Pros Focus on impact To have the biggest impact, we need to focus on solving the most important problems. It sounds simple, but most companies do this poorly and waste a lot of time. We expect everyone at Cognitev to be good at finding the biggest problems to work on. Move fast Moving fast enables us to build more things and learn faster. We’re less afraid of making mistakes than we are of losing opportunities by moving too slowly. We are a culture of builders, the power is in your hands. Be open We believe that a more open world is a better world. The same goes for our company. Informed people make better decisions and have a greater impact, which is why we work hard to make sure everyone at Cognitev has access to as much information about the company as possible and can submit their feedback anonymously on weekly bases. People Centric We believe people are the most important part of our success, we focus on developing people personal and professional skills, we use (Objectives and Key Results ) OKRs and (Personal Development Plan) PDP to improve people life and help them to grow.

Cons The bar is high and we keep raising it, if you're not up to the challenge don't join Cognitev as it will be hard for you to keep up with the smart ambitious people there. If you want a comfort zone, don’t' think about joining Cognitev, although it's fun, exciting, amazing to work at Cognitev but it's not a comfort zone to rest in peace and do just a routine job.
