Pros

The ample amount of VTO and PTO makes working there tolerable

This disorganization is insane. Management makes changes on whims and expects us to catch on but can never explain their own process when we ask questions. We have to placate Humana since they are over us but Humana agents disregard us at every turn. They waste so much of our time but we can't call them when we need clarification on anything. So much frustration and confusion. The absoulute worst offender is Business Planning. They have never been able to project adequate numbers so they're always innundating our support channel with requests for agents to take calls. This takes away our ability to tend to other functions as we're stuck on the phones due to poor projections by them. I understand adjusting to business needs but business planning doesn't have a clue on how to schedule in a manner that covers all areas adequately. The amount of stress we deal with is too much at times. Lots of unaddressed tech issues that need to be looked at. Here we are in the middle of a huge ramp up and they let go of hundreds of seasonal employees hired to assist with the heavy call volume. The decisions made by this company is the reason most of their employes are running for the hills. Avoid Cohere at all costs. It sounds good on paper but the actual strategy for business needs a major overhaul.

Remote position, effective AI tools

Cons

Aggressive productivity standards enacted after being employed for a short time: 2 months. Low pay compared to similar work at other legacy insurance companies. You are told when training that as long as you follow the Work Instructions and ensure doing the prior authorizations correctly- you will be fine. But Work Instructions are NOT updated, then it is challenging to find the answer. Slack is used for searching and asking questions, or visiting one of the multiple Zoom rooms. You are on camera for entire shift in a Zoom room. It seemed to me leadership does not care about precision and doing the job thouroughly but more so doing as many cases as possible- yet you are audited to do cases a certain way and that certain way differs from one Subject Matter Expert (SME) to another. The nurses are teaching the AI chatbot how to get smarter and take over doing the simpler cases, But the chatbot assists the nurses as well all while the nurses are teaching the chatbot.
