      Pros

      Great brokerage services team & support/operational staff. As for the rest, a disconnect between the rest of the departments exists. It's easy to target decision makers for advancment as they favor specific personnel preference. Remain adaptable as strong personalities hold no bearing here.

      Cons

      Finance directors/managers lack empathy and understanding of today's upcoming business professionals. Too much emphasis on conformance to idealistic methodologies based on past experience and outdated thought process. Inconsistant management styles. Lack of appropriate training for team leaders. In a team of accountants, no one is accountable.

We have a very large accounting/ finance team in Vancouver that consists of junior-senior management levels who brings different levels of experience to the team. Collaboration and teamwork is a key value of ours and something that allows us to continue to succeed as an organization.

      Pros

      -the people -mostly easy-going -not a hard job -good actually entry level job -people are almost always willing to teach you something you are not sure about

      Cons

      -Schedule rigidity -almost no say in where or when you work (even though the company preaches this as one of its values) -the pay (didn't get a raise for the first 2 years I worked there and they were small rasises. Then told I was not being promoted after waiting 3 years for the promotion I was promised) -the favoraitism by management -the work is either a 100% or nothing to do -in office days tend to be highly stressful
