Pros
- Affordable lunch was offered every day, and breakfast once a week. - It was easy to get holiday requests approved.
Cons
- I found it extremely difficult to negotiate a fair salary. - A person of the opposite gender received a bigger raise than me, even though I had more experience and a wider range of responsibilities. When I asked about it, my manager couldn't explain the reason. - I was often micromanaged. - Higher management was chaotic, responsibilities and team structure changed every few months. I was assigned to many teams and different responsibilities throughout my career at Colourbox. Projects changed abruptly and without notice, so I never really knew what to expect in my day to day work. - I was yelled at, and often participated in meetings where certain people swore a lot. I experienced that other employees were also treated this way. - While I was there, HR was handled by the CEO so I couldn’t turn to anyone neutral when I was treated unfairly. - Only a chosen few were allowed to work from home permanently. - It was impossible to get budget approval for tools or courses that were needed for my work. - The company is located near farms and difficult to approach with public transport.
