Pros
Great benefits (health, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA/HSA, optional 403b, and more!). Ability to build great relationships with students who are engaged.
Cons
Balancing the required workload can be quite challenging. Teachers are required to attend marketing events as well as first-time student sessions (called Great Start Sessions). Grading turnaround times are not realistic, especially for classes with a lot of essays or projects. Some admin expect grading turn arounds to include holidays and/or weekends; very little regard for teacher work-life balance (expected to make evening calls, for example). Required to work in the office one week of each month and very strict requirements to make up any time missed from the office, as if we are not capable of working from home the other 75% of the time. No work relationships within the offices; barely anyone speaks to one another.
