Too little staffing, not enough oversight - Rad Tech Concentra Employee Review

Pros

No weekends or holidays. The health insurance is a little pricey but the benefits were better than most.

Cons

It takes 90 days + 2 weeks to accrue any PTO, benefits. So any holidays that come up during that time will be unpaid. Not enough oversight at the clinic level so staff issues often weren't corrected, or stay corrected. There was favoritism, even to the detriment of other staff members. If someone calls off, oftentimes there's no backup. The metrics they use to staff are NOT enough. I was told in the interview i would be expected to have contact with 10-12 people a day on average. This was not true, more like upwards of 15 or more on average. Information relayed by management was often incorrect, to be found out later. Very little chance of promotion.

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. Like any medical facility, daily patient volume can fluctuate from one day to the next. To ensure visit volume is maintained at a manageable level, leadership reviews daily visits to align with staffing so our colleagues can focus on doing what's best for every patient without being overloaded. In Chicago, we do employ 2 float pools to help provide call-off coverage. We also go to great lengths to recognize strong performance among our colleagues, often promoting from within, including three operations leaders in the Chicago market last year. We work closely with our leadership teams on center dynamics to ensure a positive experience for both our patients and colleagues.

Pros

The pay is higher than most employers offer for similar positions. The benefits like PTO & sick time are higher (with increased seniority).

Cons

No paid holidays. The culture is not as warm & "family-like" as it has been in the past. If you do not fit a specific "mold" for leadership they will not hire or promote you despite your vast knowledge & added value to the team.
