I am not exaggerating or being dramatic when I say that the time I spent working at Connective rx was probably the worst year of my entire life. The management and even some coworkers are awfully toxic individuals. Let me start with my former manager. A workaholic who constantly stressed about everything and micromanaged everyone. Everything was on fire and everyone was deemed incompetent but her. Shed make you give updates every few hours and if you didn't complete your ticket by the end of the day shed give your tickets to the offshore team which would rush through it. They'd basically create technical debt by completing as many tickets as possible and breaking more than they fix. Every morning at 9am we would have a scrum call which essentially consisted of my manager yelling and insulting everyone. In fact sometimes I would even be called into their office to essentially be told "why did we even hire you? You can't do anything right." I became so insecure over time from these constant insults. I even had a panic attack one time thinking about how I had to come into work the next day. And mind you that was the first and only time I have experienced that. The management also played favorites and would actively supress information from people they didn't like. It not only happened to me but I was forced into being complicit in it. We once had a new coworker. Who naturally had yet to learn the ins and outs. I was explicitly told not to help her out so that the manager could call her incompetent for not knowing things when she was literally never told them. My former lead was extremely passive aggressive towards me and talked behind my back. I have no idea what I did to deserve that seeing as I was nothing but extremely respectful to him. He was promoted to manager. I had a coworker I was often forced to interact with which might have just been the most insecure individual I've ever known. Constantly tried to one up me on everything and downplay anything I said. It was infuriating. I had a coworker who once questioned my former manager. She made a very valid point by bringing up a problem with how things were set up. Rather than acknowledging the issue my manager gaslit her and then actively prevented her ticket from being moved all because she was too petty to accept she is wrong sometimes. This poor woman was blocked for months and verbally insulted until she was brought to tears. When I finally found another job I slowly became happy again. A feeling that I almost began to forget when I worked at Connective rx. The management is absolutely awful. I still have nightmares about my experience there.
