Pros
Although I've only been with Convergent for a short time, the experience has exceeded my expectations. The onboarding process is incredibly well thought out, organized, and supported by outstanding resources that make it easy to ramp up quickly. What has stood out most, however, is the people and the culture.
The team is genuinely welcoming, collaborative, and always willing to help. From day one, I felt included and supported by colleagues across the organization. There is a strong sense that everyone is working toward a common goal, and people take pride in helping each other succeed.
The leadership team deserves special recognition. Unlike many organizations where leadership can feel distant, Convergent's leaders are highly engaged and accessible. They work side-by-side with employees, make themselves available for questions, and actively invest time in mentoring and developing younger team members. It's clear that leadership cares not only about business results but also about helping employees grow professionally. That level of involvement creates a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous learning.
The company's mission is exciting, the talent level is exceptionally high, and the culture strikes a great balance between professionalism, ambition, and teamwork. It's one of the strongest first impressions I've had at any company.
Cons
Given The onboarding process is significantly more extensive than what you'll find at most companies. If you're expecting to simply complete HR paperwork and jump into the role, think again. Convergent invests heavily in ensuring new employees understand the business, products, industry, processes, and culture from the start. There is a lot of information to absorb in the first few weeks, and the expectations are high. That said, the training is extremely valuable and sets employees up for success. Come ready to learn, engage, and contribute—this is not a passive onboarding experience. Come ready to play.
