Pros
State-of-the-art lab manned and supported by incredibly smart, dedicated people. Excellent tests that are helping people make important decisions in their lives. Casual culture and atmosphere overall. Multiple people are working hard to make this a better, more comfortable place for people to work.
Cons
Management doesn't seem to know what to do. Every quarter, we have a new mission statement. Every year, we have a new strategy. Every time we speak up about our low morale and ask what the company will do to retain us, we get a vague answer about how great the company is and that we should be happy to work here. People who have been here for 5+ years have left, so clearly, more needs to be done. Open positions after people have left the company are not being filled. Instead, people are expected to wear several hats despite that we are a 400+ company instead of 40+. Several departments are understaffed and stretched completely thin. People are not given any options in their career anymore; my former projects were all taken from me without my input, and I don't think it's just me. Meanwhile, executives will get fancier and more important titles for no clear reason. Many supervisors don't seem to know what they are doing or how their direct reports feel. There are several people who do not seem to care about the work we do or our patients, but despite multiple people expressing their concerns, nothing changes. Direct reports are left trying to work around executives who refuse to help, stalling operations. In the past six months, my opinion of this company has changed from being lightly positive to utterly negative, and I know others who feel the same way and are seeking to jump ship.
