Pros

- The core product is solid. The latest features have potential, though it still has ground to make up against the competition. - Some of the best colleagues I've ever met (not senior management unfortunately). - Remote policy offers a good work-life balance. - Laurent is an inspiring CEO.

Cons

- Compensation is way below market (I'd say around 20%), with little to no transparency around raises, promotions, or career progression. Growth paths are unclear. Senior management can get a promotion anytime, but "regular employees" have to wait for the "cycles". Also, you'll probably have a harder time getting a raise or promotion if you are a woman. - Employee feedback surveys are performative: yet to see any changes applied. - Layoffs are handled in a disrespectful manner: don’t be surprised to be informed that you are being let go by senior leadership while they are in a hotel lobby or in the back of a taxi. - Parental or medical leave offers no real job security: employees on mat/pat leave or medical leave, have not been protected from layoffs, even after many years with the company. - Frequent leadership change and quality is questionable; some people in senior positions seem to be there solely based on their ability to read AI-written speeches when presenting to large groups. - Too many restructuration over the years: the company has become unstable, and has created an environment that is difficult to trust.

Pros

Coveo has a great product and a good group of people with whom you interact on a daily basis. Good commission rates and quota seems to be achievable as a yearly quota, even though you are measured quarterly.

Cons

Less than a week and a half in, I was asked by management how my pipeline build was going. It went downhill from there. There are many unrealistic goals for pipeline building and expectations of the number of qualified deals you have to pipe each month. Quota starts on day one and is completely misaligned with the average sales cycle, putting you in a hole almost immediately from a quarterly quota attainment standpoint. You as the Account Executive are the only one responsible for pipeline build, no other teams are accountable, which was not communicated in the hiring process. Meetings are focused exclusively on what you're doing to drive business, with little to no interest in where you may be facing challenges or how the organization can help you in those deals. There’s no feedback loop or collaboration between Sales and Management, making it difficult to raise concerns, share ideas, or get the help needed to succeed. Additionally, there are no team meetings to collaborate on what’s working or not—leaving reps isolated and unsupported. In my experience to date, it can be a very demotivating place to work.
