Pros
Good company to work with if you’re just starting out as a personal trainer. The company equips you with tools to be successful and you will be surrounded by people with a lot of experience that you can learn from. Also Crunch pays better than most big commercial gyms. If you put in the work, there is potential to make up to six figures. Crunch also contributes to your retirement if you’ve been with the company for a year which is great.
Cons
Pay is strictly commission. There is no hourly rate. When you start off, you basically work for free for the first few months. So if you can’t afford to receive paychecks of around $300 for your first month or 2, this job is not good. You are expected to find your own leads which can be annoying. There is an expectation to make cold calls. Also management is constantly changing (around every 3 months) so sometimes the team feels unstable. Depending on the manager, they can be pushy with sales goals and numbers. Sometimes it can feel like they care more about numbers than the people/services provided.
