Pros
Great benefits, competitive pay, generous PTO, mission-driven company. The flagship product is a game-changer and addresses a very real need. Curology has a way of attracting great people— I made some lifelong friends!
Cons
I'm honestly still trying to figure out what happened to turn such a great company sour so quickly. It was a perfect storm of the pandemic, delaying IPO plans, growing too much too fast, and hiring people who don't know what they're doing. Leadership is incredibly opaque. I never knew what was going to happen until it was already happening. There was too much red tape on all sides and way too many people with way too many opinions to ever get anything done. The brand has been in limbo for YEARS now and everyone is just spinning their wheels while having no real impact. I was an "integral" member of the marketing team and the CMO had no idea who I even was. There were 3 major layoffs within 8 months, even after David said he would do everything in his power to avoid it. It feels like he's insulated himself with corporate tyrants and kept his employees at an arm's length. I honestly feel bad for him and I think he's better than this. If you're able to emotionally divest from outcomes and just show up and exchange services for money and benefits, you can survive here. If you care at all about having an impact or seeing your team succeed, look elsewhere.
