Pros
Some of the people are holding this ship together.
Cons
I rarely write reviews, but the current state of this company makes it hard to stay silent and yet we no longer have the culture where we could raise concerns internally. We've been subject to leadership churn and frankly, it is a mess. Firstly, there has been a clear breakdown in basic operational processes. Pay review conversations, which have historically taken place in November with outcomes implemented in January, have now been delayed into the next financial year. This not only impacts morale but signals a worrying lack of planning and accountability from leadership. Secondly, the approach to International Women’s Day was insulting. We were expected to sit through a deeply condescending seminar filled with performative messaging, yet there was no meaningful action or commitment to improving outcomes for women in the business. The only visible “progress” is the promotion of an individual to Chief of Staff who, by most reasonable standards, lacks the experience required for the role. It feels less like progress and more like optics. When senior male leaders openly display misogynistic attitudes, yet attempt to position themselves as allies by referencing their daughters’ experiences, it becomes clear that their understanding is superficial at best. Framing support for women through the lens of “I have a daughter” reduces systemic issues to something personal and convenient, rather than demonstrating a genuine commitment to change. It signals that, at their core, they are not truly engaging with or believing in the realities women face in our workplace. Instead of listening, learning, and taking meaningful action, they rely on performative empathy that feels hollow and self-serving. This kind of rhetoric not only undermines trust but reinforces the very culture they claim to challenge. Third, the company is suffering from a significant lack of strategy despite hiring numerous senior leaders of late. There has been a noticeable cultural shift driven by what is being framed as “founder’s energy,” but in reality comes across as unchecked entitlement and nepotism at the executive level. Decision-making feels inconsistent at best, and direction is unclear. Finally, it’s evident that the primary goal is to position the company for sale. However, with the current leadership team’s inability to make timely or effective decisions, this objective feels unrealistic. Like others have written, I will short when the time comes.
