High pressure, high workload, average wages at best - Accountant DJH Employee Review

The salaries paid at DJH Mitten Clarke Limited are average at best, at no point have management offered me a salary that is above average for the area and job that I do. A lot is expected from you at these wages, I often question why I'm working so hard to complete accounts to a high standard and with such a quick turnaround - this is a company in which employee burnout will inevitably happen if you do everything that is asked from management. Going above and beyond in your job is not recognised here, salaries are offered inline with the market, regardless of how hard you work. Employees start and leave all of the time here - don't expect to get to know your colleagues at a basic level as you will be given a seating plan in which you sit in the same place every time you're in the office, with little chance to interact with the rest of the team The company claims it offers flexi time - but it's not truly flexible. You must work 1 hours' worth of overtime for you to be able to claim the time back, and you must claim the time back in that same week - otherwise the time is wiped off and you have worked for free. To me this isn't flexi time - and the 'benefit' is essentially non-existent.
