Pros

Co workers are young and generally very friendly. If you are looking for sales experience you will learn a lot from the people at this company. A very supportive environment and easy to move up in the company. You can become a manager in about a year and an owner in about 2 years if you work hard. Door to door sales isn't as terrible as it is made out to be. Can actually be fun depending on your personality.

Cons

This company lies to you from the get go. Saw a job posting online that claimed $15/hr 40 hrs a week and mentioned 401k and medical benefits and never once mentioned the word sales. During the interview they were very ambiguous to me about the job and it was a complete shock to me to find out I would be doing door to door sales. I didn't mind the job but I didn't appreciate being mislead. Many people quit on the first day just because they had no idea what they were signing up for. JOB: door to door sales or retail sales. Job postings will mention a bunch of different positions. Dont pay any attention to them. You are a sales person. You're not a marketer, customer service rep, business analyst, campaign manager, etc. You are a sales person. Also if you have a car expect to do a lot of driving. Possibly to places as far as an hour from the office PAY: The job pays $400 a week with the chance to make more. If you make lets say $500 in commission then you make $500 for the week. Once again they are very ambiguous about this and no one understands this concept when they join. They will tell you base salary plus commission which is very misleading. Also no benefits as promised in the job posting. Company has a three week probation period before you receive your first paycheck. Took me 4 weeks to receive mine. Basically they want to hold off on paying you as long as possible because like I said many people quit when they realize what this place is really about. Hours: You will work from 1130 to 830 monday through friday. Saturdays are mandatory once you become a corporate trainer which you will need to become if you want to stay with the company. There will be business trips and conferences that are mandatory. Also "non-mandatory" team nights on thursday. Basically forget having much of a life outside of work. MISC: The last paycheck I received from the company was about an eighth of my promised salary. Knew a co worker who went almost 2 months without receiving a single paycheck. Manager on the Verizon campaign lied to people telling them they had a base pay from $400-$500 when in reality pay on that campaign was completely commission based. OVERALL: Very untrustworthy people. They use business practices that I am sure would get them shut down if former employees made the effort to bring them to light. If you do decide to go forward with this company. Ask a TON of questions. Make sure everything is very clear. Also, I would ask for a copy of my contract and read it thoroughly. And don't trust people with secrets. This place is like a highschool.

DMG Co Response

Hi, We appreciate your feedback. It's really nice to hear your positive comments about our supportive working environment and the people who work at DMG. We believe that our progression opportunities are among the best in the country. We are extremely surprised and disappointed by some of your comments. We have a very stringent recruitment process, with a tried and tested three stage interview procedure. We pride ourselves on transparency and providing potential employees with a full insight into the company, and what the role would involve were they to be successful in securing a position. We work with a number of different clients and therefore have different positions available which vary in pay structure and job specification. We have a very social culture with lots of activities for employees to get involved with including weekly team nights, R&R weekends and office dinners. None of these activities are mandatory, however we believe they contribute to us having a great team bond and these activities are great team building exercise. We would like to speak to you on the phone to discuss your grievances and hopefully resolve the issue. Please contact us on +1 401-475-3161. We hope to hear from you soon. Kind Regards.

Pros

DMG has been the best experience I've had in a career. I started off entry level and was only looking for sales experience. I found sales to be easier than I expected all it took was a lot of reps and the rest came easy as DMG only works with household brands like AT&T, Sprint and even some charities which is extremely fulfilling. Tremendos growthgreat environment, and awesome travel opportunities. Best part is learning leadership through application.

Cons

The growth is fast, and one of the new managers got the wool pulled over his eyes by some employees who were cutting corners. He had to fire 5 people at once. They obviously committe fraud but still acted extremely unprofessionally whenthey were fired. (I'm100% sure that some of the outrageuos reviews on here are by them) I've always been paid on time and accurately...it's pathetic that former employees who were fired can "anonymously" fabricated content on social media without repercussion) But i guess that's the way the world works now..
