Pros
This is a decent place to start your analytical career. The day to day work is fairly mundane and easy and your peers are some of the most supportive and understanding people you will meet.
Cons
There are so many to list, but a few include: - Ever since BV has sunken its claws into DTS, work morale is at an all time low. There is a strong distrust with all management, even including HR. - Management do not consult analysts when overhauling a system. They just do as they please without regard for the opinion of those using said systems. The only thing they consider is how pretty something looks, not it’s efficiency. - For a lab that is considered the leader in food testing, quality is at an all time low. Management only care about high throughput and will force you to cut corners to make the deadlines due to severe pressures from upper management. - Management DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT listen to their staff at all. I have never heard of a company that has disregarded the voice of their employees to this extent. It is appalling to see management act like this. - Constant restructures resulting in more redundancies, that are either backfilled with new,lower-paid staff or none at all. - Minimum wage for all staff no matter their experience creating lack of motivation to strive for better. All of this and many more will become apparent if you work for this company (now known as BVAQ). I cannot stress how much the entire workforce at this company wants management to change, but at the rate they are going everyone will be leaving. All experienced staff have slowly left this company due to management and I only see this trend continuing. There are many middle managers that are unsuited for their roles as they lack the experience/knowledge and it shows in their leadership. I also cannot stress how much this place has declined in quality.
