Pros
You may be able to negotiate a good salary on the way in as they are struggling to hold on to staff. The organisation is big so there are opportunities to grow if you search hard for them and no one has any idea what you are working on/doing They organised events periodically and there are Friday drinks.
Cons
The place is mostly a shambles and is horribly lacking in agility. Practices are silod. There is little process and no one seems to understand any of them. The is no culture of helpfulness only win at all costs which is driven by higher exec. The systems to support you are horribly archaic and there is little investment or drive to fix any of it. Staff morale is at an all time low and the business is losing people faster than they can replace them There are no payrises and employees who expect that are labelled as entitled. Similarly there is no work from home policy yet no allocated desks so at times getting a desk is a chance game. People sharing desks is not rare. Leadership is poor and largely filled by people who have little understanding of the business. There is a lack of communication and a clear vision for where the business is headed. Knowledge sharing could be improved and staff are expected to do all of their learning/ admin outside of work hours.
