Pros

The patients and the teammates are usually very appreciative. My schedule is flexible and reasonable. There is great satisfaction in helping patients who have such a difficult life.

Cons

Too much time on the computer and way too many clerical tasks, leaving an insufficient amount of time to be with patients. Biggest complaint is the degree of difficulty in discharging patients who are abusive to staff and it has a deleterious effect on the other patients. It is very disconcerting for the patients to witness staff being mistreated.

Pros

Patient connections is rewarding work, great hands on experience, paid on the job training, training for PCTs is at least consistent.

Cons

12+ hour long hours, emotionally and physically taxing, unqualified management, poor communication, inconsistent scheduling, high turn over, very little amount of opportunity for movement within the company despite preaching that they encourage it. The culture and values are heavily spoken about with little to no enforcement. The position requires significant dedication to learn all the moving parts of the clinic.
