Pros

Working 3 days per week

Cons

Stuck in isolation room for 4+ hours in full iso gear, unable to go to the bathroom or take a break; they cut your hours if you get called in overnight...you work 6 hours in the middle of the night, then lose 12 hour shift later in week so they can save on overtime; constant penny pinching; constant pressure to work off the clock; no lunch; Grand Rapids Michigan office horrible (mean!) management--not a leader a "boss"in every sense of the word. unfriendly fellow nurses...will leave you hanging and then tell you its your responsibility; you are responsible for your own training...oh and you better work on it on your own time...pushing and lifting heavy equipment all day; triplicate charting--paper, davita computer and hospital computer systems....low pay...one week you might get 36 or 40 hours, next week you get 27, sickening company rah rah sessions...all talk no action; get used to reporting to a PCT as an RN...they promote PCTs into management positions that oversee RNs and know NOTHING about the RN role...have a big problem with a PCT telling me what I should be doing as a nurse...I'll protect my license and make my own decisions as to how I'll practice thank you.....I could go on and on. So happy when I leave this place. Don't take this job....you have been warned!

Pros

Management supports a work-life balance, hours are flexible, okay benefits. Good training opportunities and there is effort by management to support a good work culture. 6 weeks at 80% of pay Paternity/Maternity & Adoption leave. 401K with 6% matching. For 2 adults, we pay for Davita's Anthem BCBS healthcare plan and it is $350/month (4,700 deductible).

Cons

Payscale isn't aggressive - 1% raise each year. You also may be asked to cover other clinics temporarily without fair compensation for the extra workload.
