Pros
Great company to work for as a whole, but certain divisions have some cleaning up to do. Grounded in core values and the culture of the company is fostered surrounding these.
Cons
Where should I begin? Like Louisiana politics, Davita supports the “good ole boy” mentality in their upper management. There is a lack of gender and racial diversity in upper management in the Louisiana market. Upper Management are bullies and will support team mates who display lackluster performance before they support their Facility Administrators. These same team mates who are reprimanded are then rewarded with generous raises or role advancements. There are people in roles that are less than qualified for the positions and nothing is ever said or done about it. For a company that claims to promote from within, Davita has several center’s without administrators, yet there are internal team mates that are more than qualified to assume the role, but are overlooked based off upper management's personal feelings of that individual instead of their professional experience or educational background. It’s safe to say that discriminatory processes exist in this market. Complaints to People Services fall on deaf ears and then you become a walking target for retaliatory bullying while the perpetrator is protected. Davita promotes adulterers and thieves. Other team mates are afraid to speak out against the wrongdoings of upper management out of fear and because nothing ever gets done.
