Pros

They pay your internet. If you are at a starting point in your career you can trade being exploited for learning some basics.

Cons

Behind a facade of scandinavian "coolness", Danske Commodities boasts the typical atmosphere from a cheap wall street movie. Although its aggressive marketing can have its appeal, and although there can be some pockets of camaradery within the company of people who have been working together for a long long time, a more critical look beyond the surface unveils that the professionalism and objectivity of the company are so low that often it is just the ones that have been there forever, or the backstabbing cheaters, that hold the power. The collaboration levels are inexistent where it matters (in front-office), and the blind favouritism, backstabbing and internal competition leads often to little bullies being promoted to middle-management roles. These middle-managers go on to blind and further backstab the senior leadership. All this results in them offering extremely low pay, trying to suck the most out of new employees without any long term view, and basically a dog-eat-dog environment. This exploitation, together with the fact of having had a certain first moving advance on EU balancing markets, is what has led the company to manage to be acquired by Equinor. This doesn't want to be a blanket statement, and, like anywhere, something can be found there if you are extremely serious and dedicated to looking for it, but if you take your wellbeing and career seriously, and also care about why and how you achieve it, you are extremely likely to want to look somewhere else.

Pros

The parent company, Equinor, offers good benefits.

Cons

Only Danes are considered "normal" people; people of other nationalities are treated like slaves and are not provided with a fair competitive environment. Moreover, this company will use every possible tactic to withhold the bonuses you are entitled to. Therefore, if you're considering joining one of its overseas branches and you're not Danish, think carefully.
