Pros

The product is the best in it's space and Marketing does a tremendous job of getting our name out out, which makes Datadog an fun product to sell. Our culture is also second to none. Free lunches, perfect location in downtown Boston, office wide events (brewery tours, parties at really cool venues, in-office pub trivia) and, most importantly, the people make Datadog an unbeatable place to work. It really makes you want to do your best work day in and day out.

Cons

Not a lot of cons, to be honest. However, if you don't adapt well to change, Datadog might not be the place for you. As a rapidly growing company, strategies change and you may be asked to try something outside of your comfort zone. I consider that a pro, but some may not.

Pros

Datadog has a strong product, smart coworkers, and a fast paced environment that teaches you a lot quickly. I learned a tremendous amount about observability, technical discovery, outbound prospecting, and how modern engineering organizations operate. The company has also gives reps exposure to large accounts and technical conversations early in their careers.

Cons

The ramp for newer AEs can feel steep, especially in a hgihly competitive outbound environment. Success often depends on timing, territory, pipeline momentum, and consistent coaching. There can also be a significant pressure tied to activity metrics and pipeline generations, which may be difficult for reps still developing confidence and process consistency.
