The culture here is cover your a** and blame others.
You can do everything right and still get PIPed as a way for managers to shift blame downwards.
Incompetent management loom large here, many of whom have failed upwards during the tech boom of the 2010s. Because directors and most managers are untouchable, blame for any problems go to the ICs and they are the ones who suffer. PIPs are used in place of layoffs and as a way to avoid paying out annual stock grants. There is no severance. It makes management look good to know they saved the company thousands by firing employees while covering up for their own failures.
Just because the product is good doesn't mean it's a good company to work for. You will regret working here.
