Pros

People tend to be upbeat and positive. Good company days out for bonding sessions. Work is challenging which is great. Good weekly company all hands so you are aware what is happening in the business.

Cons

The Executive team - first startup and it shows. They need an experienced COO who has been here before. There is misplaced confidence with the CCO especially. Transparency is a value and I am still unsure if they can claim that as one. It is blatant that there are favourites across the business. They are mostly dominate loud characters (nice enough) but emotional intelligence is lacking with them and the attitude is "oh that is just the way they are". Not good enough.

We’re really sorry you didn't feel Airts was the right fit for you. You joined us in a brand new role in a brand new team, and we didn’t have the processes established to give you the experience you were looking for, despite our best intentions. We can't agree with your comment on our CCO. He has helped to transform and grow Airts over the past 2.5 years, and the company wouldn’t have flourished if not for his contribution. Our confidence in him has been earned. The secret to his success is that he demands perfection for our customers, but we recognise the pressure this can sometimes create. We want to maintain the fun environment here, so we'll take your feedback on board and do what we can to minimise stressful situations. We absolutely agree with your point that we still need more experienced leadership. We are a first-time startup that has doubled in size in 6 months! We have taken steps in this regard by bringing Roan Lavery (CPO and Co-founder at Freeagent) onto our board, and we are very excited that we'll soon be able to announce the hiring of an experienced VP Engineering to the senior leadership team (plugging much of the COO gap you identify). We wish you all the best.

Pros

Work Environment: The team is fantastic—easy to work with, supportive, and motivated. Employees feel their opinions are valued, and they can make a meaningful impact. Compensation: Dayshape offers competitive salaries and benefits, reflecting its commitment to valuing employee contributions. Culture: The company truly lives its values, fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. Regular diversity and inclusivity events promote understanding and collaboration among colleagues.

Cons

Dayshape is a fast-growing company transitioning from a start-up mindset to a more structured, scalable operating model. While most people recognize that change is necessary for growth, it can still be challenging—especially when you or your team are directly impacted by it.

Pros

I love my work at Dayshape. I believe we're making a positive difference to the accounting firms we serve and growing into other pro serv firms. I came from the industry myself, selling a competitive product, so I have a deep understanding of the challenges our clients face and immediately found Dayshape to be a strong tech that serves the need. The vision is clear, and our leadership team is focused and supportive. The culture is one of ownership and accountability—everyone here is smart, driven, and focused on doing great work. You’re surrounded by people who care about the company and each other, and that makes even the most challenging days enjoyable.

Cons

Something to be aware of when considering joining is that the professional services tech landscape is evolving rapidly, and staying ahead requires constant innovation and focus. While I’m confident in our direction and leadership, we have to keep pushing hard to stay competitive. For someone coming from large ERP vendors, there are less resources than you may be accustomed to. This isn't the right environment for someone who needs a lot of hand-holding—success here depends on being proactive, owning your results, and really understanding our customers and product.
