Pros
- Mostly a day-time job with lots of work between the hours of 10am - 9pm with weekend shifts as well (Sats AND Sun) - You can pick and choose your own schedule as long as you work a minimum of 4 shifts a week (the flexibility at this place was great!) and a minimum of 5 hours a day (you can work longer, obviously, like 7.5 if you want and if there's more calls to make) - I was initially hired for the evening shift, but the evening shift got cut because of lack of projects so I ended up working during the day for the majority of the time - During the day, you make business-to-business calls and speak with professionals who are working to do surveys. -The workplace itself is not the nicest (tiny break room and no carpets on the floor with the bare minimum equipment) but it's at a very convenient location (right outside Finch station - super convenient to get there!) - Management here is actually quite nice/chill/great. They are strict if you don't do your job , but if you are actually doing it, you should have no problems. Co-workers were friendly as well. - Pay was $12/hr - Once in awhile , management would bring snacks like cookies or lollipops and leave them on the table for employees to eat! Just show up on time, dial your numbers, try to get as much survey as you can, and you should be fine.
Cons
- There's no room for advancement, but that's pretty typical of most market research places unless there is an opening because someone else left or if you've worked there for a long time or know management or something. - No benefits and insurance, but again, typical of most market research jobs
