Pros

Pay slightly higher than equivalent company, initially at least..

Cons

The company is completely overseen by the 90 something year old owner/chairman /director who, depending on he's ever changing daily opinion of you, will either like you or not. If its the later, forget promotions, prospects or even be treated/spoken to with much respect from there onwards. Not a fair boss and cant differentiate the genuine workers from the all day internet surfers. This is no exaggeration.

Pros

-Take people on with no knowledge. -A few decent PMs

Cons

-No benefits. -You end up writing half of the emails for managers when they reply to contractors as they dont know what they are on a about. -They do not carry out appraisals. This is due to not wanting to invest in the quality of work force. -Little to no training. -It doesn’t matter how hard you work, you are not appreciated or rewarded for hard work. -The contractor is always right. Little to no support on sites and projects. -Calendar filled in the day before, no future planning or forward thinking. -Poor communication between departments -Expect to work away with no notice. -Unprofessional upper management. -No Team work ethic.

Pros

- No matter where you come from and what is your experience you will get a fair chance at getting hired. - Some people working here are genuinely eager to help you when you're stuck on a problem. - You can learn a lot if you're self-driven and ambitious.

Cons

- Working away from home, a lot, without extra incentive - Commissioning software that's being used is so old and UI/UX are terrible. - Commissioning methods are behind industry standards, you need to be plugged into controller via lead all the time. - CEOs will listen to you, acknowledge the issue and then do nothing about it, until you hand them a notice...
