Pros

1. Good opportunities to grow your skillset There's plenty of opportunity within the business to move into different roles or pick up activities outside of your JD. This is great if you're still wanting to work out your niche / what you're truly interested in. A lot of other companies will keep you very siloed. So DiDi is great for providing variety. 2. Flexible working DiDi allows employees to follow hybrid working (WFH 2 days per week). 3. Some really great people Not so much management, but there are some truly amazing people who work here. While there isn't much of a culture, those who are there really try to keep this alive (group lunches/drinks etc).

Cons

1. Interns Beware If you're thinking of accepting an intern position here, please seriously reconsider. Expect that as an Ops / Marketing intern you will work overtime and long hours for minimal pay. DiDi exploits these interns by paying them the bare minimum for working just as hard as everyone else, then at the end of the 12 months, moves onto the next. Do not expect to be offered a full-time position at the end of your internship. Save yourself the heartbreak and take up an internship elsewhere. 2. Heavy on the politics Very much a Chinese operated business, even here in Australia. It can be a really toxic place to work. Chinese employees seem to be favoured and given different rules to everyone else. For example, despite remote working not being allowed, a couple of select employees (even interns) are given the greenlight to work in other states (the office is in Melbourne). During promotion cycles, you will be asked to jump through a series of hoops and prepare a lengthy application, expect that this won't apply to everyone else. 3. No transparency The company is not transparent, do not expect leaders to keep you updated on what's going on in the business. Things are very sneaky and very secretive. One person gets told you have to be on a certain level for X years to be promoted, someone else gets promoted within months. They always make loopholes and excuses for why you can't achieve something. 4. High turnover During my time, I saw almost 70 employees walk out the door. The turnover is extremely high and they really struggle to keep employees around long-term. This is due to a myriad of reasons as listed here. 5. Know that you are just a number Whether you've been there for 2 years or 10, DiDi very much treats you as replaceable. There is no loyalty to honest, hard-working individuals and when you leave you'll be lucky to receive a farewell message about your contribution to the business. 6. Expect to work more than one role With the high turnover, comes lots of change. If a colleague in your team leaves, you will be expected to take on their workload indefinitely and for the same amount of pay. It is not uncommon for employees to be working 2 roles for the price of 1.

Pros

it is quite localized although it is a chinese company. The culture is very people focused and warm. Company is investing heaviliy in LaTam.

Cons

Depends on the buiness and regions, the competition outlook varies. The work pressure also differs a lot. In general, the total reward is good, but for certain roles under the competition, the pay is lower.
