"Benefits Advisor" - Benefits Advisor Direct Benefits Employee Review

The training is deplorable. Initially I was promised a three week-long emphasis on fundamentals before I would function as a fully autonomous benefits advisor. Unfortunately that was not the case. Because I was hired to function primarily as the main Spanish speaker, I was only given a couple of days (3) of core training before being asked to take over most incoming Spanish calls. Besides that, my training was shortened for multiple reasons, at first my training manager was sick and I was asked to learn by myself, for Spanish training sessions they were all completely autonomous (instead of training with the other more senior Spanish speaker.) After my initial three days of actual training, I was told to simply learn on-the-job. Which at times was alright, but there were also times when the lack of my training proved very difficult. As is stated, management was not always clear on job expectations. Some days they wanted emphasis on side tasks, other days you were simply told to sell. Favoritism was huge, some employees were given a lot more lee-way, and others had their work stacked. Pay was mild for an entry level job. Looking back I realize that based on the amount of work, it wasn't really worth it. Lastly, my time at Direct Benefits came to an end not because of job performance, or relative amount of sales, but because of something I've never dealt with. Specifically because of questions/concerns I had about the ethics of certain policies. When making these questions my training manager immediately deemed me unfit for the job, without actually telling me. At the time I was assured I would be given more proper training to improve upon these doubts, but the next day I was fired without even a chance to defend my actions. I find it completely ludicrous that questions/and concerns shared during a "training" session could deem a candidate as "unfit" in any job setting.
