Pros

Winter work Mindless Bikes Ultimately good for the city Sometimes get to get out and ride around city to take care of the bikes Health benefit Diverse workforce

Cons

Factory-style work in a warehouse Same repairs over and over and over and over Values distrust and leveraging employees against each other Crap hourly wage For a $1 more you can be a supervisor and give up your weekends and be yelled at when things go wrong In winter time breathing in lots of crap that washes off bikes and vans More concerned with turning numbers than long term problem solving Not much opportunity for growth The operation was initially set up without any concern for employees as people or members of the cycling community. It was more about numbers. Asked to do work off the clock. No pay raises when I was there Mechanics held responsible for situations outside of our control Mechanics treated poorly by managers Corporate fires up - rewards crappy managers with new roles and better pay Not a healthy place to work if you're working on self-care

Pros

- Okay pay - Amazing and Friendly managers - Repairing bikes can be relaxing at times - Coworkers friendly - can be extremely flexible - rewarded with food trucks at times, and surprise treats that managers pay for

Cons

-Lots of promises not fulfilled, (eg. No gate for safety, No air conditioning) -Work can become chaotic, especially when you get extremely broken bikes to repair -Employees agree pay is low for what they're working - heat unbearable in the summer
